Rat Prkn qPCR Primer Set – parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase
Also known as: Park, Park2
About this gene: Enables protein kinase binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to amino acid stimulus; modulation of chemical synaptic transmission; and regulation of apoptotic process. Located in several cellular components, including Golgi membrane; neuronal cell body; and synaptic vesicle. Is active in glutamatergic synapse; postsynapse; and synaptic vesicle membrane. Colocalizes with mitochondrion. Used to study Parkinson's disease. Biomarker of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Parkinson's disease; Parkinson's disease 2; lung cancer; and ovarian cancer. Orthologous to human PRKN (parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase).
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56816; Chromosome location: 1q11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
