SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Akt1 (AKT serine/threonine kinase 1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Rat Akt1 qPCR Primer Set – AKT serine/threonine kinase 1
Also known as: Akt
About this gene: Enables several functions, including ATP binding activity; GTPase activating protein binding activity; and enzyme binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular hyperosmotic salinity response; cellular response to epidermal growth factor stimulus; and cellular response to mechanical stimulus. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of cell size; positive regulation of sodium ion transport; and regulation of protein localization. Located in cytosol; dendrite; and nucleus. Used to study several diseases, including alcohol dependence; artery disease (multiple); heroin dependence; impotence; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Biomarker of several diseases, including brain ischemia; liver disease (multiple); opiate dependence; type 2 diabetes mellitus; and ureteral obstruction. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including Cowden syndrome 6; breast cancer (multiple); gastrointestinal system cancer (multiple); pancreatic cancer (multiple); and reproductive organ cancer (multiple). Orthologous to human AKT1 (AKT serine/threonine kinase 1).
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 24185; Chromosome location: 6q32
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
