SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Mtor (mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Rat Mtor qPCR Primer Set – mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase
Also known as: Frap1, RAFT1
About this gene: Enables protein domain specific binding activity; protein kinase binding activity; and protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of cell population proliferation; regulation of muscle adaptation; and regulation of protein metabolic process. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of cell size. Located in dendrite and neuronal cell body. Part of TORC1 complex. Is active in glutamatergic synapse and postsynaptic cytosol. Used to study several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); brain disease (multiple); crescentic glomerulonephritis; kidney failure (multiple); and muscular atrophy. Biomarker of several diseases, including cerebrovascular disease (multiple); obesity; type 2 diabetes mellitus; ureteral obstruction; and vascular dementia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease; kidney angiomyolipoma; lung disease (multiple); prostate cancer; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human MTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase).
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56718; Chromosome location: 5q36
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
