Rat Cacna1c qPCR Primer Set – calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha1 C

Also known as: RATIVS302

About this gene: Enables several functions, including high voltage-gated calcium channel activity; protein phosphatase 2A binding activity; and transmembrane transporter binding activity. Involved in several processes, including calcium ion transport; nervous system development; and positive regulation of transport. Located in several cellular components, including T-tubule; Z disc; and postsynaptic density. Part of L-type voltage-gated calcium channel complex. Is active in glutamatergic synapse; postsynaptic membrane; and presynaptic membrane. Used to study Timothy syndrome. Biomarker of alcohol dependence. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Brugada syndrome 3; Timothy syndrome; long QT syndrome 8; and neurodevelopmental disorder with hypotonia, language delay, and skeletal defects with or without seizures. Orthologous to human CACNA1C (calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha1 C).

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 24239; Chromosome location: 4q42

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
