SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Kcnj2 (potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 2, also called RBL-IRK1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Rat Kcnj2 qPCR Primer Set – potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 2
Also known as: Kir2.1
About this gene: Kcnj2 enables inward rectifier potassium channel activity and phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate binding activity. It is involved in cellular response to mechanical stimulus; positive regulation of potassium ion transmembrane transport; and regulation of cardiac muscle cell contraction. Is active in glutamatergic synapse and postsynaptic membrane.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 29712; UniProt: Q64273; Chromosome location: 10q32.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
