SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Grik5 (glutamate ionotropic receptor kainate type subunit 5, also called GluK5) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Rat Grik5 qPCR Primer Set – glutamate ionotropic receptor kainate type subunit 5
Also known as: GluK5, iGlu5
About this gene: Grik5 enables identical protein binding activity; kainate selective glutamate receptor activity; and protein domain specific binding activity. Contributes to glutamate-gated receptor activity. It is involved in multiple processes, including cellular response to glucose stimulus; positive regulation of neuron apoptotic process; and protein retention in ER lumen.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 24407; UniProt: Q63273; Chromosome location: 1q21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
