SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Gad2 (glutamate decarboxylase 2) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Rat Gad2 qPCR Primer Set – glutamate decarboxylase 2
Also known as: gad65
About this gene: Gad2 enables glutamate binding activity; glutamate decarboxylase activity; and pyridoxal phosphate binding activity. It is involved in multiple processes, including cellular response to brain-derived neurotrophic factor stimulus; oxoacid metabolic process; and response to dexamethasone. Is active in GABA-ergic synapse and presynapse.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 24380; UniProt: Q05683; Chromosome location: 17q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
