SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Aanat (arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase, also called AA-NAT) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Mouse Aanat qPCR Primer Set – arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase
Also known as: AA-NAT, Nat-2, Nat4, Snat
About this gene: The Aanat protein belongs to the acetyltransferase superfamily. The Aanat gene product is the penultimate enzyme in melatonin synthesis and controls the night/day rhythm in melatonin production in the vertebrate pineal gland. Melatonin is essential for the function of the circadian clock that influences activity and sleep.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11298; UniProt: O88816; Chromosome location: 11 81.43 cM|11 E2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
