Mouse Egfr qPCR Primer Set – epidermal growth factor receptor
Also known as: 9030024J15Rik, Erbb, Errb1, Errp, Wa5, wa-2, wa2
About this gene: Enables epidermal growth factor binding activity and epidermal growth factor receptor activity. Involved in several processes, including ERBB2-EGFR signaling pathway; negative regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; and positive regulation of fibroblast proliferation. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including eyelid development in camera-type eye; hair follicle development; and protein autophosphorylation. Located in several cellular components, including basolateral plasma membrane; endocytic vesicle; and perinuclear region of cytoplasm. Is active in plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including brain; integumental system; jaw; limb; and sensory organ. Used to study Coronavirus infectious disease and aortic valve disease. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including colorectal cancer; lung cancer (multiple); neonatal nephrocutaneous inflammatory syndrome; prostate cancer; and pulmonary tuberculosis. Orthologous to human EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor).
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 13649; Chromosome location: 11 9.41 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
