About this gene: The Bcs1l protein is a chaperone protein that is involved in the assembly of complex III, one of the five protein complexes of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. Studies from the yeast ortholog of this protein indicate that it is targeted to the inner membrane of the mitochondria, despite the absence of an N-terminal targeting sequence. Positively charged amino acids located C-terminal to the transmembrane domain are thought to act as an internal targeting signal.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
