SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Avp (arginine vasopressin, also called AVP-NPII) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Mouse Avp qPCR Primer Set – arginine vasopressin
Also known as: Vp, Vsp
About this gene: Avp belongs to the vasopressin/oxytocin family and preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products. These products include the neuropeptide hormone arginine vasopressin, and two other peptides, neurophysin 2 and copeptin. Arginine vasopressin binds to vasopressin receptors and acts as a vasopressor, to constrict blood vessels and increase blood pressure, and as an antidiuretic, to reduce the production of urine.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11998; UniProt: P35455; Chromosome location: 2 F1|2 63.24 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
