SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Piwil2 (piwi-like RNA-mediated gene silencing 2) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Mouse Piwil2 qPCR Primer Set – piwi-like RNA-mediated gene silencing 2
Also known as: Piwil1l, mili
About this gene: Piwil2 enables RNA endonuclease activity; mRNA binding activity; and piRNA binding activity. It is involved in multiple processes, including germ-line stem cell population maintenance; negative regulation of gene expression; and positive regulation of cytoplasmic translation. Acts upstream of with a positive effect on transposable element silencing by piRNA-mediated heterochromatin formation.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 57746; UniProt: Q8CDG1; Chromosome location: 14 D2|14 36.32 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
