SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Icmt (isoprenylcysteine carboxyl methyltransferase, also called PPMT) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Mouse Icmt qPCR Primer Set – isoprenylcysteine carboxyl methyltransferase
Also known as: 1700008E11Rik, Gm13095, HSTE14, PPMT, STE14, pcCMT
About this gene: Icmt enables cAMP response element binding protein binding activity and protein C-terminal S-isoprenylcysteine carboxyl O-methyltransferase activity. It is involved in CAAX-box protein maturation. It acts upstream of or within multiple processes, including C-terminal protein methylation; TOR signaling; and determination of adult lifespan.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 57295; UniProt: Q9EQK7; Chromosome location: 4 E2|4 83.02 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
