SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Hsd17b12 (hydroxysteroid (17-beta) dehydrogenase 12, also called KIK-I) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Mouse Hsd17b12 qPCR Primer Set – hydroxysteroid (17-beta) dehydrogenase 12
Also known as: 2610510O05Rik, KIK-I, Kik1
About this gene: Hsd17b12 enables multiple functions, including fibronectin binding activity; heparin binding activity; and steroid dehydrogenase activity, acting on the CH-OH group of donors, NAD or NADP as acceptor. It is involved in androgen biosynthetic process and estrogen biosynthetic process. It acts upstream of or within extracellular matrix organization and positive regulation of cell-substrate adhesion.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56348; UniProt: O70503; Chromosome location: 2 E1|2 51.62 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
