SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Gpx2 (glutathione peroxidase 2, also called GPx-GI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Mouse Gpx2 qPCR Primer Set – glutathione peroxidase 2
Also known as: GI-GPx, GPx-GI, GSHPx-2, GSHPx-GI
About this gene: The Gpx2 protein belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family, members of which catalyze the reduction of organic hydroperoxides and hydrogen peroxide by glutathione, and thereby protect cells against oxidative damage. Several isozymes of Gpx2 family exist in vertebrates, which vary in cellular location and substrate specificity. This isozyme is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract in rodents, is localized in the cytoplasm, and whose preferred substrate is hydrogen peroxide.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 14776; UniProt: Q9JHC0; Chromosome location: 12 C3|12 33.73 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
