Mouse Ghrl qPCR Primer Set – ghrelin
Also known as: 2210006E23Rik, Ghr, MTLRP, MTLRPAP, m46
About this gene: Ghrl encodes a preproprotein that undergoes proteolytic processing to yield two bioactive peptides, ghrelin and obestatin. The hormone ghrelin is involved in enhancing appetite and has numerous other biological functions that include stimulating the secretion of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. Obestatin is believed to be a hormone that functions in decreasing appetite.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 58991; UniProt: Q9EQX0; Chromosome location: 6 E3|6 52.84 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
