About this gene: F13a1 encodes subunit A of the coagulation factor XIII that catalyzes the final step of the blood coagulation pathway. The F13a1 protein associates with subunit B to form a heterotetrameric proenzyme that undergoes thrombin-mediated proteolysis to generate active factor XIIIa. The transglutaminase activity of factor XIIIa is required for the calcium-dependent crosslinking of fibrin, leading to the formation of a clot.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
