Mouse Enpp2 qPCR Primer Set – ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 2
Also known as: ATX, E-NPP 2, Npps2, PD-Ialpha, Pdnp2, lysoPLD
About this gene: Enpp2 belongs to the phosphodiesterase and nucleotide pyrophosphatase family of bifunctional enzymes that hydrolize phosphodiester bonds of various nucleotides. The Enpp2 protein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature protein with lysophospholipase D activity, catalyzing the cleavage of the choline group from lysophosphatidylcholine to produce lysophosphatidic acid. A complete lack of the Enpp2 protein in mice leads to aberrant vascular and neuronal development leading to embryonic lethality.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 18606; UniProt: Q9R1E6; Chromosome location: 15 D1|15 21.6 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
