SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting mouse Edn2 (endothelin 2, also called VIC) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Mouse Edn2 qPCR Primer Set – endothelin 2
Also known as: ET-2, PPET2, VIC
About this gene: Edn2 belongs to the endothelin family of peptides. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a potent vasoconstrictive peptide. Edn2 is abundantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, strongly induced in photorecepteror cells in retinal diseases and injury, and produced by microglia and macrophages in the early stages of glaucoma.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 13615; UniProt: P22389; Chromosome location: 4 D2.1|4 55.77 cM
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
