About this gene: Dsg3 belongs to the cadherin family of proteins that forms an integral transmembrane component of desmosomes, the multiprotein complexes involved in cell adhesion, organization of the cytoskeleton, cell sorting and cell signaling. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature, functional protein. Mice lacking the Dsg3 protein exhibit loss of keratinocyte cell adhesion resulting in a phenotype that resembles that of patients with pemphigus vulgaris.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
