About this gene: The Cst3 protein is a cysteine protease inhibitor involved in neurodegenerative and cardiovascular processes. The Cst3 protein inhibits aggregation of beta-amyloid protein, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease, so it may be useful as a therapeutic. The Cst3 protein also may be a biomarker for atherosclerosis.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
