About this gene: Col1a1 encodes a alpha-1 subunit of the fibril-forming type I collagen, the most abundant protein of bone, skin and tendon extracellular matrices. The encoded protein, in association with alpha-2 subunit, forms heterotrimeric type I procollagen that undergoes proteolytic processing during fibril formation. Mice lacking the Col1a1 protein die in utero caused by the rupture of a major blood vessel.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
