Mouse Chrne qPCR Primer Set – cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, epsilon polypeptide

Also known as: AChrepsilon, Acre, nAChRE

About this gene: Chrne encodes a epsilon subunit of the muscle-derived nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, a pentameric neurotransmitter receptor and member of the ligand-gated ion channel superfamily. The acetylcholine receptor changes subunit composition shortly after birth when the epsilon subunit replaces the gamma subunit seen in embryonic receptors. In mice, deficiency of Chrne can lead to a decline in the number of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at neuromuscular junctions and causes progressive muscle weakness, atrophy and premature death.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11448; UniProt: P20782; Chromosome location: 11 B3|11 43.14 cM

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
