Human WARS1 qPCR Primer Set – tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase 1

Also known as: GAMMA-2, HMN9, HMND9, IFI53, IFP53, NEDMSBA, WARS

About this gene: Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. Because of their central role in linking amino acids with nucleotide triplets contained in tRNAs, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are thought to be among the first proteins that appeared in evolution. Two forms of tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase exist, a cytoplasmic form, named WARS, and a mitochondrial form, named WARS2.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7453; HGNC ID: HGNC:12729; UniProt: P23381; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004184.4; Chromosome location: 14q32.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
