SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human VMP1 (vacuole membrane protein 1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human VMP1 qPCR Primer Set – vacuole membrane protein 1
Also known as: EPG3, TANGO5, TMEM49
About this gene: VMP1 encodes a transmembrane protein that plays a key regulatory role in the process of autophagy. The ectopic overexpression of the VMP1 protein in cultured cells triggers autophagy even under nutrient-rich conditions. VMP1 is overexpressed in pancreatitis affected acinar cells where the VMP1 protein mediates sequestration and degradation of potentially deleterious activated zymogen granules in a process termed, zymophagy.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 81671; HGNC ID: HGNC:29559; UniProt: Q96GC9; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_030938.5; Chromosome location: 17q23.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
