SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human VIM (vimentin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human VIM qPCR Primer Set – vimentin
About this gene: VIM encodes a type III intermediate filament protein. Intermediate filaments, along with microtubules and actin microfilaments, make up the cytoskeleton. The VIM protein is responsible for maintaining cell shape and integrity of the cytoplasm, and stabilizing cytoskeletal interactions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7431; HGNC ID: HGNC:12692; UniProt: P08670; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003380.5; Chromosome location: 10p13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
