Human VDR qPCR Primer Set – vitamin D receptor

Also known as: NR1I1, PPP1R163

About this gene: VDR encodes vitamin D3 receptor, which belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily of ligand-inducible transcription factors. This receptor also acts as a receptor for the secondary bile acid, lithocholic acid. Downstream targets of vitamin D3 receptor are principally involved in mineral metabolism, though this receptor regulates a variety of other metabolic pathways, such as those involved in immune response and cancer.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7421; HGNC ID: HGNC:12679; UniProt: P11473; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000376.3; Chromosome location: 12q13.11

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
