About this gene: VDAC1 encodes a voltage-dependent anion channel protein that is a major component of the outer mitochondrial membrane. The VDAC1 protein facilitates the exchange of metabolites and ions across the outer mitochondrial membrane and may regulate mitochondrial functions. The VDAC1 protein also forms channels in the plasma membrane and may be involved in transmembrane electron transport.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
