SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human VCL (vinculin, also called MV) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human VCL qPCR Primer Set – vinculin
Also known as: CMD1W, CMH15, HEL114, MV, MVCL, VINC
About this gene: Vinculin is a cytoskeletal protein linked to cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions, where it is believed to function as one of multiple interacting proteins involved in anchoring F-actin to the membrane. Defects in VCL are the cause of cardiomyopathy dilated type 1W. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disorder characterized by ventricular dilation and impaired systolic function, resulting in congestive heart failure and arrhythmia.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7414; HGNC ID: HGNC:12665; UniProt: P18206; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014000.3; Chromosome location: 10q22.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
