About this gene: VARS2 encodes a mitochondrial aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase, which catalyzes the attachment of valine to tRNA for mitochondrial translation. Mutations in VARS2 cause combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency-20, and are also linked to early-onset mitochondrial encephalopathies.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
