About this gene: VAC14 encodes a scaffold protein that is a component of the PIKfyve protein kinase complex. This complex is responsible for the synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate, an important component of cellular membranes, from phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate. Mice lacking a functional copy of VAC14 exhibit severe neurodegeneration.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
