Human USP5 qPCR Primer Set – ubiquitin specific peptidase 5
Also known as: ISOT
About this gene: Ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis is a complex pathway of protein metabolism implicated in such diverse cellular acts as maintenance of chromatin structure, receptor function, and degradation of abnormal proteins. A late step of the process involves disassembly of the polyubiquitin chains on degraded proteins into ubiquitin monomers. USP5 disassembles branched polyubiquitin chains by a sequential exo mechanism, starting at the proximal end of the chain.[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2010].
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8078; HGNC ID: HGNC:12628; UniProt: P45974; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001098536.2; Chromosome location: 12p13.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
