Human UPF3A qPCR Primer Set – UPF3A regulator of nonsense mediated mRNA decay
Also known as: HUPF3A, RENT3A, UPF3
About this gene: UPF3A encodes a protein that is part of a post-splicing multiprotein complex involved in both mRNA nuclear export and mRNA surveillance. The UPF3A protein is one of two functional homologs to yeast Upf3p. mRNA surveillance detects exported mRNAs with truncated open reading frames and initiates nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. When translation ends upstream from the last exon-exon junction, this triggers NMD to degrade mRNAs containing premature stop codons.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 65110; HGNC ID: HGNC:20332; UniProt: Q9H1J1; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_023011.4; Chromosome location: 13q34
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
