SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human UNG (uracil DNA glycosylase, also called UDG) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human UNG qPCR Primer Set – uracil DNA glycosylase
Also known as: DGU, HIGM4, HIGM5, UDG, UNG1, UNG15, UNG2
About this gene: UNG encodes one of multiple uracil-DNA glycosylases. One important function of uracil-DNA glycosylases is to prevent mutagenesis by eliminating uracil from DNA molecules by cleaving the N-glycosylic bond and initiating the base-excision repair pathway. Uracil bases occur from cytosine deamination or misincorporation of dUMP residues.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7374; HGNC ID: HGNC:12572; UniProt: P13051; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_080911.3; Chromosome location: 12q24.11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
