SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human UGP2 (UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase 2, also called UDPGP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human UGP2 qPCR Primer Set – UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase 2
Also known as: DEE83, EIEE83, SVUGP2, UDPG, UDPGP, UDPGP2, UGP1, UGPP1, UGPP2, pHC379
About this gene: The enzyme encoded by UGP2 is an important intermediary in mammalian carbohydrate interconversions. The UGP2 gene product transfers a glucose moiety from glucose-1-phosphate to MgUTP and forms UDP-glucose and MgPPi. In liver and muscle tissue, UDP-glucose is a direct precursor of glycogen; in lactating mammary gland it is converted to UDP-galactose which is then converted to lactose.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7360; HGNC ID: HGNC:12527; UniProt: Q16851; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006759.4; Chromosome location: 2p15
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
