Human UGDH qPCR Primer Set – UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase
Also known as: DEE84, EIEE84, GDH, UDP-GlcDH, UDPGDH, UGD
About this gene: The UGDH protein converts UDP-glucose to UDP-glucuronate and thereby participates in the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans such as hyaluronan, chondroitin sulfate, and heparan sulfate. These glycosylated compounds are common components of the extracellular matrix and likely play roles in signal transduction, cell migration, and cancer growth and metastasis. The expression of UGDH is up-regulated by transforming growth factor beta and down-regulated by hypoxia.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7358; HGNC ID: HGNC:12525; UniProt: O60701; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003359.4; Chromosome location: 4p14
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
