Human UCMA qPCR Primer Set – upper zone of growth plate and cartilage matrix associated
Also known as: C10orf49, GRP, GRP/UCMA
About this gene: UCMA encodes a chondrocyte-specific, highly charged protein that is abundantly expressed in the upper immature zone of fetal and juvenile epiphyseal cartilage. The UCMA protein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature protein that is secreted into the extracellular matrix. The glutamic acid residues in the UCMA protein undergo gamma carboxylation in a vitamin K-dependent manner.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 221044; HGNC ID: HGNC:25205; UniProt: Q8WVF2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_145314.3; Chromosome location: 10p13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
