SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TYR (tyrosinase, also called LB24-AB) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TYR qPCR Primer Set – tyrosinase
Also known as: ATN, CMM8, OCA1, OCA1A, OCAIA, SHEP3
About this gene: The enzyme encoded by TYR catalyzes the first 2 steps, and at least 1 subsequent step, in the conversion of tyrosine to melanin. The enzyme has both tyrosine hydroxylase and dopa oxidase catalytic activities, and requires copper for function. Mutations in TYR result in oculocutaneous albinism, and nonpathologic polymorphisms result in skin pigmentation variation.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7299; HGNC ID: HGNC:12442; UniProt: P14679; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000372.5; Chromosome location: 11q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
