SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CARD8 (caspase recruitment domain family member 8, also called TUCAN) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CARD8 qPCR Primer Set – caspase recruitment domain family member 8
Also known as: CARDINAL, DACAR, DAKAR, NDPP, NDPP1, TUCAN
About this gene: The CARD8 protein belongs to the caspase recruitment domain-containing family of proteins, which are involved in pathways leading to activation of caspases or nuclear factor kappa-B. This protein may be a component of the inflammasome. The CARD8 gene product is thought that this protein acts as an adaptor molecule that negatively regulates NFKB activation, CASP1-dependent IL1B secretion, and apoptosis. Polymorphisms in CARD8 may be linked to a susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 22900; HGNC ID: HGNC:17057; UniProt: Q9Y2G2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001184900.3; Chromosome location: 19q13.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
