SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TTR (transthyretin, also called ATTR) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TTR qPCR Primer Set – transthyretin
Also known as: AMYLD1, ATTR, CTS, CTS1, HEL111, HsT2651, PALB, TBPA, TTN
About this gene: TTR encodes one of the three prealbumins, which include alpha-1-antitrypsin, transthyretin and orosomucoid. The encoded protein, transthyretin, is a homo-tetrameric carrier protein, which transports thyroid hormones in the plasma and cerebrospinal fluid. The TTR gene product is also involved in the transport of retinol in the plasma by associating with retinol-binding protein.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7276; HGNC ID: HGNC:12405; UniProt: P02766; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000371.4; Chromosome location: 18q12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
