SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TTPA (alpha tocopherol transfer protein, also called Alpha-TTP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TTPA qPCR Primer Set – alpha tocopherol transfer protein
Also known as: ATTP, AVED, TTP1, alphaTTP
About this gene: TTPA encodes a soluble protein that binds alpha-trocopherol, a form of vitamin E, with high selectivity and affinity. The TTPA protein is important for regulating vitamin E levels in the body by transporting vitamin E between membrane vesicles and facilitating the secretion of vitamin E from hepatocytes to circulating lipoproteins. Mutations in TTPA cause hereditary vitamin E deficiency and retinitis pigmentosa.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7274; HGNC ID: HGNC:12404; UniProt: P49638; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000370.3; Chromosome location: 8q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
