SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TRPV1 (transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1, also called OTRPC1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TRPV1 qPCR Primer Set – transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1
Also known as: VR1
About this gene: Capsaicin, the main pungent ingredient in hot chili peppers, elicits a sensation of burning pain by selectively activating sensory neurons that convey information about noxious stimuli to the central nervous system. The TRPV1 protein is a receptor for capsaicin and is a non-selective cation channel that is structurally related to members of the TRP family of ion channels. This receptor is also activated by increases in temperature in the noxious range, suggesting that it acts as a transducer of painful thermal stimuli in vivo.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7442; HGNC ID: HGNC:12716; UniProt: Q8NER1; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_080704.4; Chromosome location: 17p13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
