About this gene: TRPM6 is predominantly expressed in the kidney and colon, and encodes a protein containing an ion channel domain and a protein kinase domain. The TRPM6 gene product is crucial for magnesium homeostasis, and plays an essential role in epithelial magnesium transport and in the active magnesium absorption in the gut and kidney. Mutations in TRPM6 are linked to hypomagnesemia with secondary hypocalcemia.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
