SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TRPM5 (transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 5, also called LTrpC5) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TRPM5 qPCR Primer Set – transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 5
Also known as: LTRPC5, MTR1
About this gene: TRPM5 belongs to the transient receptor potential protein family, which is a diverse group of proteins with structural features typical of ion channels. The TRPM5 protein is important for taste transduction, and has characteristics of a calcium-activated, non-selective cation channel that carries Na+, K+, and Cs+ ions equally well, but not Ca ions. The TRPM5 gene product is activated by lower concentrations of intracellular Ca, and inhibited by higher concentrations.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 29850; HGNC ID: HGNC:14323; UniProt: Q9NZQ8; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014555.4; Chromosome location: 11p15.5
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
