Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TPK1 (thiamin pyrophosphokinase 1, also called PP20) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.

Human TPK1 qPCR Primer Set – thiamin pyrophosphokinase 1

Also known as: HTPK1, PP20, THMD5

About this gene: The TPK1 protein acts as a homodimer and catalyzes the conversion of thiamine to thiamine pyrophosphate, a cofactor for some enzymes of the glycolytic and energy production pathways. Defects in TPK1 are a cause of thiamine metabolism dysfunction syndrome-5.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 27010; HGNC ID: HGNC:17358; UniProt: Q9H3S4; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_022445.4; Chromosome location: 7q35

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
