SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TNNC1 (troponin C1, slow skeletal and cardiac type, also called TN-C) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TNNC1 qPCR Primer Set – troponin C1, slow skeletal and cardiac type
Also known as: CMD1Z, CMH13, TN-C, TNC, TNNC
About this gene: Troponin is a central regulatory protein of striated muscle contraction, and together with tropomyosin, is located on the actin filament. Troponin consists of 3 subunits: TnI, which is the inhibitor of actomyosin ATPase; TnT, which contains the binding site for tropomyosin; and TnC, the protein encoded by TNNC1. The binding of calcium to TnC abolishes the inhibitory action of TnI, thus allowing the interaction of actin with myosin, the hydrolysis of ATP, and the generation of tension.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7134; HGNC ID: HGNC:11943; UniProt: P63316; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003280.3; Chromosome location: 3p21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
