SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NKX2-1 (NK2 homeobox 1, also called T/EBP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human NKX2-1 qPCR Primer Set – NK2 homeobox 1
Also known as: BCH, BHC, NK-2, NKX2.1, NKX2A, NMTC1, T/EBP, TEBP, TITF1, TTF-1, TTF1
About this gene: NKX2-1 encodes a protein initially identified as a thyroid-specific transcription factor. The NKX2-1 protein binds to the thyroglobulin promoter and regulates the expression of thyroid-specific genes but has also been shown to regulate the expression of genes involved in morphogenesis. Mutations and deletions in NKX2-1 are linked to benign hereditary chorea, choreoathetosis, congenital hypothyroidism, and neonatal respiratory distress, and may be linked to thyroid cancer.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7080; HGNC ID: HGNC:11825; UniProt: P43699; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001079668.3; Chromosome location: 14q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
