Human TIMP3 qPCR Primer Set – TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 3
Also known as: HSMRK222, K222, K222TA2, SFD
About this gene: TIMP3 belongs to the TIMP gene family. The proteins encoded by TIMP3 family are inhibitors of the matrix metalloproteinases, a group of peptidases involved in degradation of the extracellular matrix. Expression of TIMP3 is induced in response to mitogenic stimulation and this netrin domain-containing protein is localized to the ECM. Mutations in TIMP3 have been linked to the autosomal dominant disorder Sorsby's fundus dystrophy.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7078; HGNC ID: HGNC:11822; UniProt: P35625; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000362.5; Chromosome location: 22q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
