SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TIMP2 (TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 2, also called CSC-21K) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TIMP2 qPCR Primer Set – TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 2
Also known as: CSC-21K, DDC8
About this gene: TIMP2 belongs to the TIMP gene family. The proteins encoded by TIMP2 family are natural inhibitors of the matrix metalloproteinases, a group of peptidases involved in degradation of the extracellular matrix. In addition to an inhibitory role against metalloproteinases, the TIMP2 protein has a unique role among TIMP family members in its ability to directly suppress the proliferation of endothelial cells.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7077; HGNC ID: HGNC:11821; UniProt: P16035; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003255.5; Chromosome location: 17q25.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
