SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TIMM8A (translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 8A) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TIMM8A qPCR Primer Set – translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 8A
Also known as: DDP, DDP1, DFN1, MTS, TIM8
About this gene: This translocase is involved in the import and insertion of hydrophobic membrane proteins from the cytoplasm into the mitochondrial inner membrane. The gene is mutated in Mohr-Tranebjaerg syndrome/Deafness Dystonia Syndrome and it is postulated that MTS/DDS is a mitochondrial disease caused by a defective mitochondrial protein import system. Defects in TIMM8A also cause Jensen syndrome; an X-linked disease with opticoacoustic nerve atrophy and muscle weakness.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1678; HGNC ID: HGNC:11817; UniProt: O60220; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004085.4; Chromosome location: Xq22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
